Hi there!

Wow, I have been really bad, about blogging. Life has a tendency to keep you very busy and not making time for you to just enjoy life and just smell the Roses. Lots has happened since my last post. A grundel of people got laid off @ Regence, my wife finally got a job offer with Jet Blue to start in 2010, but most exciting news is that my son Tapa's Football Team, The Taylorsville Warriors are the 2009 State Champions, Bantam Division. Infact they went undefeated through the regular season, blowing out all of their opponents and managed to outlast the Riverton Wolves in the Championship game played under snowy and cold conditions Sat 11/14/09. My son Tapa surprised everyone with his athletic prowess for a 1st year player. He plays where ever he is needed but his main positions are defensive end and fullback. He was fortunate to score a touchdown on defense and also on offensive, one of the very few players that was able to accomplish such a feat.

The Warriors are now getting ready to play in the Las Vegas Tournament during the Thanksgiving break. They along with several other teams all over the country will try to bring home the prestiges Pigskin Tournament Trophy. I have no doubt with the Warriors athletic talents, we'll have to wait and see, if everyone will show up and play. Most of the players are still pretty stoked about their first ever Championship in the last 10 years or so. Taylorsville does not have a consistent program, like Bingham, Alta or Skyline so to bring home the Gold meant the World to the Taylorsville program.

GO WARRIORS!!

Family Reunion Flashback

We had our Matavao Family Reunion July 11th thru July 18th, 2009 it was a fun filled week full of laughter, tears, muscle pain and just plain good ole Polynesian Fun. We had a bowling, basketball & volleyball tournament, not to mention a very heated @ times baseball game. One thing I took away from my reunion, is that I have competative siblings and their kids are no different as well. However, we still manage to laugh, sing & had a some good crying time together. It was a very memorable & unforgettable Reunion.

Our next reunion is slated for the year 2011 & it will be in Seattle this time a change from the smog of California and their rude, "I own the road mentality" type of drivers. I have never been cutoff more times in my entire life then when I was in California, and as you can imagine the joy I must have felt returning home to Sweet ole Salt Lake City. We have inconsiderate drivers too, but nothing like CA drivers.

We all had a great time from Calea(Daughter)to myself, too bad the week came and when so fast, I wish it would have lasted a little longer. Who knows what 2011 will bring , we may not all make it to this reunion due life atrition, death, sickness, military assignment? I had a wonderful time, despite some miscommunication on my part and other members of my family, we still had a great time.

I can't wait for 2011..SEATTLE HERE WE COME!
